Hello forumers!

As of today, I'll be in charge of moderating this section of the forums and I'm really happy about that. I chose this area because I think this place can be used for real, legitimate discussions about various things. I know that there are users here who are 18+ that would like to be able to have gut-wrenching, mind-stimulating and heart-breaking conversations somewhere on the forums and I think this sub-section would be perfect! I do hope that the topics here will be of some substance that'll keep you coming back for more.

As for moderating this area, I'm not going to be as strict as the other Mods on the other sections. I'm aware that there will be topics that'll be controversial and will have content that will adhere to adults but as long as it's within certain boundaries, I'll be fine with it. I'm going to assume everyone knows what the boundaries are so I'll refrain from listing it out until I really have to.

I have some minor rules that I would like followed which will hopefully keep the debates from spewing out like hot lava!

1) Please be respectful: There are going to be topics and/or opinions that will go against your beliefs or ideas but please do not put them down negatively. Debates are definitely allowed but I hope people will be civil when trying to oppose such points and respond respectfully to others. Like I said, this is for adults so maturity should be a given.

2) Don't missionize: Extending from the last point, please do not coerce others into agreeing and/or following your beliefs or opinions. It should be upto the user to change his/her view at their own discretion whenever they realize it without any condusive behaviour from other posters unless they explicitly want you to help them change. In that case, I'm all for it.

Other than these two rules, you are welcome to post here as much as you want with topics that'll stimulate and engage other users. I will keep this thread up for random discussion if you don't feel like making a thread or if you have a short point to make. It can be used to chat with other users to keep random conversations in one spot.

I am glad that someone is moderating this section of the forum. There have been times when I thought about creating a thread or even replying back to a post but hesitated because of my impressions of some of the members here. I may post a thread in this section when I feel a good amount of the community members here are mature enough to respond back. Congratulations P05HH!
