#1: Think about it, and think of how it could of been better. That always helps me for whatever reason.

Lay in bed, get some tea, and listen to your favorite cd, or playlist
Edit: a book and magazine with music is just another thing to get your mind off of the bad things.
upbeat music tends to help. either that, or music that describes your day, or that of which you can relate to.
