    Advert Blocking the Chatbox (intentional?)

As per the title, there is a rather annoying advert that blocks the view of the chatbox (Screenshot provided)
    Name: Zjx2C.png
Views: 41
Size: 500.9 KB

Quite often there is a few friends in the chat and if they are ready to play the loser will refresh and allow one of them to join the match, this advert obviously makes that difficult as the loser cant see anything typed by anyone except the previous opponent [which pops up above the profile pics]

I love OMGPOP pool and you have earned a rare place in the whitelist of my adblocking lists ;D
But when adverts are restricting basic functionality of a site it is pretty annoying and makes me consider changing that :/

IMO: the advert needs to be relocated or an option to close the advert added.

yeah. it usually tends to do that with a quite a few different ads

my guess is, it moves there so that you accidentally click it. a problem: kind of, seeing as all ads dont do this, and you can wait to talk during game, or during the next break, or ever extend the countdown as the ad will end over time.

but.... i don't think its something that they will work on in the near future.

Meh, if they can't/wont fix this theres a much simpler way to stop it, Ill just turn the adblocking back on for their adservers. (and i'd imagine so will everyone else I know who it bugs)

I thought they might appreciate this being pointed out so they can sort it rather than getting more poeople using adblockers on the site :/

Thaks for the reply anyhow 40k.

well, this site is relatively ad free, if you think about it.

    not any outside pop ups.

    barely any advertisers.

theres not much to complain about

I think that you could scroll out (ctrl+scroll) on the mouse and then you'd br able to press the button that says hide this ad

although I'm not sure if this works cuz I haven't had an ad like that for a year or so now considering I have STAR

    sent by omgpop mobile forums!

Indeed, not much at all, infact just this one thing which why its a shame that a site that manages to do ad's so well, is being let down by one of their ad partners throwing an ad' up that breaks (albeit temporarily) one of the core features of the site.

It is possible as my title implies/asks, that this is on purpose, if so thats fine, and omgpop joins most other sites on my blocklist for ad's.
If it's not on purpose... then fix it (a button to close the ad, as other ads here have would be fine)

I do hope i'm not coming across the wrong way, I am grateful for the site and appreciate it especially as it is free, but this is an annoyance that can be easily solved client side, however with the negative effect of blocking all ads from that adserver aswell.

Cap'n aussie, there is no way to close this ad at all I have tried.
